Difference between payout/credit, buyin/debit

1. Credit vs. Payout:

2. Debit vs. Buyin:

What is Standalone credit

That’s a Credit transaction without any preceding Debit. Occurs in a few games, like Tower Quest for Play’n GO, where a player has some “progress bar” and once he hits it - he gets freespins. Winnings from those freespins will come in a form of Standalone Credit.

Resettles and Corrections

While using sportsbooks (SB) or live dealer (LD) products - there will occur some cases where a player balance will go to negative values.

For sportsbooks an example would be the following:

  1. A player scores a goal
  2. SB provider issues a win transaction
  3. Player uses the money to place another bet
  4. Judge reviews the goal and cancels it
  5. SB provider cancels the win transaction
  6. Player has now negative balance.

For live dealers:

  1. A player wins a bet
  2. LD provider issues a win transaction
  3. Player uses the money to place another bet
  4. A complaint about dropped ball or incorrectly scanned card comes
  5. LD provider cancels the win transaction
  6. Player has now negative balance.

There are 3 ways on how to treat such cases:

  1. You leave it as is, meaning player will have to either deposit more or to get a win from second bet

  2. You lower down the balance to 0 instead of going below.

  3. You don’t adjust balance for resettles at all (however you still need to process transactions of course) The choice is up to you.

Scenarios for “limited” cancel

We don’t create anything from ourselves in our integrations: if provider doesn't give us something (be it game code, round or session token), we are not trying to "invent" anything either to avoid problems in reconciliation process later. If we don't send token somewhere, where others do, then those others are just inventing it up. We all work with same provider's API.
